A night to remember in the presence of His Majesty’s Lord Lieutenant of Bedfordshire, Mrs Susan Lousada and Mayors of Dunstable and Houghton Regis.

Lord Lieutenant, Mayors and current Chair
Trustees, volunteers, co-ordinators, past and present gathered to celebrate the charities 40th Anniversary. The evening provided great opportunity to reflect on the work of our volunteers in the community that we serve. With speeches from the Lord Lieutenant, past Chairman, Ian Coulter and our current Chair, Liz Jones, those present were thanked for their tireless work and support.
Our team were recognised for their support they give to our volunteers, with flowers presented to both Maureen and Colleen.

Colleen and Maureen recognised for their work
An evening of celebration and great conversations with people involved in the charity over the last 40 years.

A night to reflect
Such a lovely opportunity to have our volunteers together, to recognise their work in supporting our clients. A night to reflect on 40 years of volunteering and an amazing 73000 hours of volunteering!

A room full of love for HHV
Ian Coulter and Wendy Smith have been involved from day one. Their continued support and kind generosity to the charity is so very welcome.

Ian Coulter and Wendy Smith – our “friends” for life
A night to thank our Board of Trustees who have worked so hard to ensure the charity continues to have a sound financial basis to continue its work.

Our board of trustees (May 2026)
Our Chair reflected on the evening “wow what a night to remember; the room was filled with complete admiration for the dedication of all volunteers, trustees and staff of HHV. The supportive words from His Majesty’s Lord Lieutenant were valuable and demonstrates the impact our work has on the community we serve”.
